Gothic Leaf

I love Autumn! I love fall! I love the coolness and the colors! I love Glenda's Gothics!

This Gothic Fragments spire has leaves on it, and was perfect for coloring for fall. I thought the shape looked like a leaf, so I attempted to make it look like one. I used an embossing folder to make the leaf imprint on the two background panels (one of which is a copper shiny cardstock) and used some fall paper from my stash. The ribbon was new - some beautiful glittered ribbon I found at the Dollar Store. I stamped the image in dark green, then used Stampin' Up markers to color the leaves in, and Stampin' Up classic ink pads and sponge daubers to shade in the rest. This was a very easy card to make!

This is the new Gothic Fragments set, and you can go directly
to the page to see and order it by clicking HERE.

I used the little pinecone stamp from this new clear stamp set called Ivy Trails.  You can find it by clicking here on the Chocolate Baroque website.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope you're "fall-inspired"!  My best to you!

  1. The colours are gorgeous & you certainly succeeded with the leafy appearance of that spire. The embossing makes this very tactile especially with your gorgeous ribbon. That little pinecone adds a lovely touch too & really shows how the acrylic & rubber stamp sets work together.

  4. Hello Clare! Sorry to have to answer you here instead of email but I had a computer crash and I can't find your email address any more. You left a lovely comment on my blog and asked about the header. I made it myself using digi components I have collected here and there. It is almost impossible to center it unless you still have the old blogger template, which is why I still have the old one. My test blog where I test things like that uses the new template and sure enough, even with the code put in to center it, somehow it comes out on the side. I also had to resize mine until it was only about 3" wide at 300dpi. Hope that helps, but I really don't know how to get it centered with the new templates. I know they have that CSS code for you to use, but it never seems to work for me or others I know who have tried it. :(

How are you doing? I think of you and your family often!!! If you email me some time I will have your email addy again and can write you that way then. Hope you enjoy a wonderful Christmas season!
    hugs,
    Grace
