Happy Thanksgiving and Christmas Holly

Hello again, everyone!

I would like to wish everyone a very happy and wonderful Thanksgiving!  I'm very blessed to have everything I do - from God, to my husband Mike, my three grown children, six grandchildren, my new Chihuahua puppy, my extended family and friends, to my home, each one of you, my creative abilities and this awesome world in which I live.

I'm here with another Christmas card and I have to say that using the gold accents really makes the cards stand out regally.  It looks good on the vintage-type cards too. Unfortunately, the paper is no longer available from Stampin' Up!

Vintage Merry Christmas!

Hello, everyone!  I love this season of celebration of the Lord Jesus, and all the beauty and joy it brings!  I have three cards to share with you today, all using the same vintage image of a young girl holding a pine sprig.  Can you smell it?

I've used some shiny gold die cuts on each to enrich them, with some nail polish accents that has gold glitter in it.  Some of the cardstock and paper was detailed with a gold pen, and each has a pine cone sprig that has been accented with the gold sparkle polish.

The card above was layered on white with gold ribbon trim, and some
white lace through the label ends.

The card above and below has some light blue 1/8" satin ribbon running through the holes in the bottome of the fancy edge die cut.

Thank you for stopping by, and I wish each of you a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving, and a very Merry Christmas!  Wishing you all the best of the holiday season, and a healthy and happy New Year!

Christmas Holly Pop-up Box

Here's a look at my first Christmas pop-up box card.  It was fun to make, and I've got a lot of ideas for more!

This shows the card open, with rhinestone berries on the holly.
This photo shows the card folded flat for mailing.  There is glitter on the cardinal and berries.

Thank you very much for visiting, and I hope you come back soon!

Beaded Poinsettia Bracelet and Christmas Card

Lorraine (my daughter-in-law) found this pattern on the Fusion Beads website, and we ordered the beads to make it with.  After three tries, tear-aparts and magnifying glass added to see, I finally got it!   I was thinking that these little poinsettia flowers made with Dragon Scale beads would be a great addition to the center of my paper poinsettia's, and they were!  I love the way the card came out.  I hope you enjoy!  If you need some of the beaded poinsettias, you can order them simply by messaging me or emailing me.

I used Prills in the center of the large paper poinsettia, then added three of the beaded poinsettias as an embellishment on the top of the sentiment block.  I absolutely LOVE this patterned paper from Stampin' Up, but it's not available anymore.  I will only be able to make a few cards like this.

Christmas Poinsettia Bracelet

Hello!  It's that time of year again, ALREADY!  Where does time go to, and why is it passing me by so fast?

I'm working on some things for Christmas, and wanted to start out by showing my Poinsettia Bracelet made with a new kind of bead, called Dragon Beads.  It took me three tries to get it right, in between tearing it all out after cutting the thread in many places.  It turned out beautifully once I was able to follow the directions correctly, and get my magnifying glass out!  haha  The 'ol eyes aren't what they used to be!  I actually have the beginnings of cataracts - can I use that as my excuse?  hehe

I love the way this turned out, and I'm going to try some different color variations on the flower, and maybe add some leaves.

Thanks for visiting!  Come back soon for more Christmas projects and inspiration!
